Livy Kowalski has no time for idiots. When you shapeshift into a honey badger, getting through life’s irritants is a finely honed skill. Until she gets stuck housing her nutso cousin and dealing with her dad’s untimely and unexplained demise.

That’s where Vic Barinov comes in—or his house does. Vic can’t step outside without coming back to find Livy devouring his honey stash and getting the TV remote sticky. It gets his animal instincts all riled up. But he’ll have to woo her at high speed: all hell is breaking loose, and Livy is leading the charge…

Huge, Huge, HUGE fan of Shelly's shifter's here! I love em all, the lions, the wolves, bears, wild dogs and now add a honey badger to the mix. Thought by many to be a myth, those that know the truth avoid the breed like the plague. Except for one tiger/bear hybrid, named Vic. He has a soft spot for one honey badger, Livy. Those feelings coalesce as he helps Livy investigate the death of her father.

The honey badger shifters most definitely live up to the hype. Honey badgers don't give a good damn. And lord have mercy, them critters is meaner than a rattlesnake with a back ache. (pardon the redneck speak, but it seemed to fit) Livy is actually one of the good ones. She has tried to live a semi-legal existence with her photography. There is a definite mafia feel to the honey badger lifestyle.

Vic was more of a mystery. And I'm not going to solve it for you, but needless to say....... YUMMO! I might be tempted to tangle with a honey badger to get some hybrid love. This book had a much slower feel than previous books, not that it dragged, it most certainly did not. There were just a lot of elements with a ton of players, both old and new.  It still had the trade mark snarky humor and blatant sexuality, but I think the actual story played more of a part in Bite Me. As with all of Shelly Laurenston's books, I have no hesitation in recommending this book, but if you are new to this author, be warned. These shifters are in NO way subtle, they are bloody, violent and very, very lusty. They are also some of my favorite characters in literature today.
