Teddy Bears 1-5 Degree of sweetness , happy and full of joy. From mildly to OMG, Call an ambulance, I'm going into a diabetic coma!
Rage 1-5 Degree of darkness, not a lot of happy dances. From mildly to OMG, I'm so depressed I want to die!
Sex 1-5 Degree of heat, from a sweet kiss to OMG. Cover your eyes, I want to F@#%*
I have been pondering a fairer way to rate the books I review, because to be honest, all books can NOT be judged equally.I view books as food.
Snacks- something to hold me between meals, not a lot of nutritional value, but it tides me over - usually 50 pages and under
Appetizers - mini entrees to whet my appetite - 100 pages and under
Salads- good for me but generally not my favorite and only eaten on RARE occassions (these are generally YA, Contemporary or some other genre that I normally wouldn't choose)
Entrees- Ah, this is what nourishes my soul, the meat and potatoes of literature - series or stand alones that make up the mainstay of my literary diet.
Desserts- Sweet and fluffy, filling a craving but once again only RARELY - usually this is reserved for really good erotica and should be short, sweet and go straight to the hips
So, from now on, to be more fair and to give the reader an accurate portrayal of how I viewed the book, the ratings will be as follows. 1 of the 5 categories (snacks, appetizers, salads, entrees, or desserts)
Teddy bear indicator on degree of sweetness
Rage indicator on degree of darkness
Sex indicator on degree of ...well that's just obvious
