Blurb: Haunted by paranormal abilities that she can’t control, and plagued by nightmares about a demon that seeks her soul, Lily Anima travels to New Orleans in search of salvation.

In the French Quarter, Lily dives into the paranormal world and enlists the help of an unlikely couple: a vampire, Lawrence Justice, and a werewolf, Trevor Pack.
As the trio encounters ghosts, voodoo and unspeakable evil, will Trevor and Lawrence be able to help Lilly turn into a gift rather than a curse? And when Lily discovers that she needs to lose her virginity in order to embrace her powers and get the demon off her back, will the twosome be able to survive as a threesome?

My review:  Lily came looking for answers about herself, her heritage, and about why she was unable to have full on sex with anyone. Well she found out the answers to all three. Three seems to be a magic number in this book, as readers will discover. (no spoilers here, guys) I liked the dynamic between Lawrence and Trevor right off the bat, very settled, but not taking anything for granted. Lawrence, being the oldest held the dominant position, although Trevor was by no means a submissive. There is always the risk in a ménage relationship of upsetting someone’s apple cart. After all the bedroom antics are over, there are emotions left to deal with and that’s where the delicate situations occur. Ms. Bacio addressed those concerns and handled them very well. This was just a minor part of the story though, there is a demon to fight, favors to repay and a long, lost mother to be explained. Each element and twist to the story was handled as if it were the most important and they combined to make a very entertaining, fast paced, sexy story. It’s not often I get the pleasure of reviewing an erotic romance series with the books coming back to back, so when the first book was as well crafted as A New Orleans Threesome, I get a bit giddy. Yay, me!

Blurb: Adopted at birth, Silver Ashe discovers her blood-brother, Trevor Pack is a werewolf, with a vampire and witch for lovers. All her teachings about the evils of paranormal Others come into question. She runs to a family friend, Nick, for help.

Nick Stake takes his hobby as a vampire hunter personally. He strives to rid the world of evil bloodsuckers. When his best friend’s “kid” sister comes to him for advice, Nick discovers Silver’s more than grown up. He battles his growing desire for Silver and blindly holds true to his convictions.

Once Silver reaches her sexual maturity, she’ll inherit her full genetic heritage and turn into a werewolf. When death comes calling, Silver and Nick must face their darkest fears in order to break free from the chains that bind.

My Review: I liked the first book in this series, but Chains Of Silver felt much more comfortable, perhaps because I was familiar with the story and the Ms. Bacio's writing style, or perhaps because it was a smidge longer. Whatever the reason, I really got into this book to a much greater degree. I got more of a feel for Lawrence and Trevor, their dynamic and how Lily impacted it. I found it interesting how much Trevor wanted a relationship with his lost sister, Silver but ran away at the thought of a baby with Lily.

Silver and Nick were a very interesting pair, Silver being raised by a "Hellfire and brimstone" preacher and Nick being such a dedicated Hunter. I was really glad Ms. Bacio let Silver have a mind of her own and not blindly follow where she was lead. Yay!!! Strong heroine alert! The story was only enhanced by the sexual encounters and not overwhelmed, which for me is the mark of an exceedingly good book from a skillful author. Silver was a touch young, but she had a very mature attitude and her youth was well suited to Nick, who had a bit of reckless and youthful impulsiveness. There were a couple of threads left dangling in the story that I fervently hope means a new book about this mismatched family and their journey. I find myself a bit curious and look forward to a great deal of appeasing that trait.

Thanks so much for the lovely reviews. Definitely working on more. Next up, though, is a holiday novella treat -- The Vampire & The Werewolf: A New Orleans Christmas. I've been asked to tell Trevor and Lawrence's story a bit more in-depth. And while I know it, it's time to share with others.
