Best of 2011–part 2

Happy New Year

So, I’m kicking off the new year by pimping a few of my favorites of last year. Here are the last six categories of the Best of 2011.

Best Heroine-

This was a toughie because of my exceedingly high standards for heroines. So to even be in the running is a miraculous feat.

Runner up -  9637479  Pia was truly a heroine of note, and worthy of her mate and title.

In this category, their was a tie for winner. I couldn’t pick one over the other because they were both absolutely perfect.

10599649

Ash and her dead pan delivery and utter lack of artifice made her one of the best heroines I have ever run across. Meljean Brook knows her stuff without a doubt.

512F9BArpoL._SX106_

Rowan was one of the funniest kick ass heroines of the year. She didn’t take crap or prisoners and her viciousness made her one of my picks.

Best Hero -

Eeeks, soooo many wonderful choices……. I finally settled on the most tragically damaged of my harem. *sigh* Just heartbreaking…

Runner up -51VOgWhw-0LVeck is doomed from the get go and just had me from his first appearance. His innate sense of justice and fear of stepping over the line was solid gold.

Winner -  10649555Seth was one of the most tragic characters in any book I have ever read. I wanted to wrap him up and feed him cookies. ( and after he had recovered…. maybe some other stuff)

Best New Series-

Runner up - 11824280Rosalie Lario’s Demons of Infernum series is unbelievable and this group of half-brothers are uber sexy.

Winner - 10838302The writing duo of Gayle Donnelly and Robyn MacKenzie hit the nail on the head with this book. They probably could have taken a spot in most of the categories.

Best New Author-

Runner up – 10394180Deena Remiel’s  break out book Trinity established this debut author as a force to be reckoned with.

Winner - 8087823Ms. Roane’s Vampire Angels are the epitome of sexy. Keep the fire burning! Well done.

Best Series Overall for 2011 -

JEHopkins_WeShallRise_200px
10884666
Runner up – J.E. Hopkin’s Misfits of the Lore is truly an undiscovered gem. Unique, witty, and extremely hot.

Winner and still undisputed champion -  BDB

I may stray from time to time, but these Brothers own me heart and soul……

And finally the last category of 2011

Best Overall -

Runner up - 10649555For putting SK back on top!

Winner - 10884666  This was just an amazing book. I can’t give it enough props.

Wow! All those books look fantastic, can you believe I haven't read any of those authors except for J.R. Ward so now I am adding those to my to buy list - LOL. This year I plan to do more of my own personal reading instead of so many review request I get in.

Happy New Year!

I have almost all these on my TBR list. I've only started Caris Roane's series so far and it has been fantastic. I love her winged warriors ;) I want to start Blood of the Demon next. Thanks for sharing and for your contests.

I've read all of Sherrilyn Kenyon's books accept The Guardian. I have it, I just haven't gotten around to reading it. If its anything like SK's other books then I know its going to be great. As for the other books, they are all new to me. Thanks for introducing them.
