STORM BOUND, FEATURE BOOK

Kidnapped on his wedding day in the twelfth century and forced into a thousand years of servitude by a cold-hearted faery princess, rugged blacksmith Aidan dreams of nothing but revenge on his captor. Then the spell of a beautiful witch awakens him to the modern world—and a passionate desire. But to build a future, he must first confront his past…

Modern witch and magic-shop owner Brooke doesn’t think her life is missing anything, until a wayward enchantment lands a brooding medieval blacksmith in her spell room—and in her arms. Yet even after their passion proves to be truly magical, Aidan’s first commitment is to vengeance. Now Brooke must team up with friends and ancient warriors alike—and push her own powers to their limits—to save her love from the wrath of an evil fae.

From the best-selling author of Changeling Moon, this thrilling and sensual novel adds a new chapter to Dani Harper’s Celtic folklore-themed Grim Series. Available in trade paperback, ebook and Audible.

I totally fell into this world of Welsh fairies. I thought book one, Storm Warrior was terrific and couldn't wait for Storm Bound. This world is fascinating and the human characters are just as magical as the Grimm and their fae captors.

Aidan is my vision of a perfect hero, steely eyed, dark blond, with the muscled body of a blacksmith. He also has abundant reason to hunger for revenge against the fae. Stolen from his life and made to serve as a Grimm for a thousand years, it is only through the intervention of one of the more honorable fairies, that allows Aidan the opportunity to slip his leash. ( yeah, I intended that pun) This is becomming one of my most anticipated series. Dani Harper and her world of the grimms have captured me as surely as Aidan. The story and pages just flew by and the dawn greeted me before the book was finished.

Brooke, George and Olivia were such a tightly knit familial group, and it made me smile that Aidan got to experience those bonds after his ordeal and tremendous loss. I also just loved Brooke's laid back, zen attitiude. Any other woman would have wound up institutionalized, and despite her vow to do no harm, Brooke is a true blue hero. No gender specific title for my girl, she can kick male/female/fairy butt without any help from a penis thank you very much. A really, really appreciated fact from my perspective is that the romance is an accepted fact to both Aidan and Brooke. They didn't agonize (overmuch) over the attraction. It was there, fact, they dealt with it like adults in control of their brain cells. It was absolutely wonderful.  Loved this book, love this series, but hate waiting for the next book. Go on with your bad self, Dani Harper! Job very, very well done. Brava.

I haven't read a book about fairies and fantasy in a while because nothing has been worthwhile IMO. THIS book, though, sounds awesome!
