When ex-millionaire Ryan Sullivan learns he and a sexy stranger inherited a mansion with the condition they must first live in it together for three months, he doesn’t see the downside. In ninety days, they’ll sell the house and walk away millionaires. He didn’t count on falling for the ethereal woman he’s forced to live with and vowed not to touch. Brought up by an eccentric mother who believes she and her daughters are Muses possessing the magic to inspire creativity in the right men, Portia Dubrovsky never gave credence to her mother’s delusions—until Portia meets Ryan the morning after dreaming of him. Craving the permanent home she’s never had, she’s determined to find a way to buy Ryan’s share of the house—one way or another.

As the walls of the luxurious mansion crumble around them, they can’t deny the electricity they share as they dance to the music which only they can hear. But when the music stops playing, will they sell the home and go their separate ways or have they have built a sturdy enough foundation to last a lifetime?

If you are looking for something on the lighter side of paranormal, then this is the book for you. Very well written, with well developed and likable characters, Sway With Me takes the reader on an easy, but memorable ride. In spite of the fact that Ryan and Portia come from two ends of the financial and social spectrum, these two meshed perfectly. Ryan wears a hardened facade as comfortably as Lady Gaga in a nun's habit. He is at heart a softie on a self imposed guilt trip. For his manly pride's sake he has figuratively (wouldn't it be gross if it was literal) cut off his nose to spite his face. Portia thinks the gods have finally smiled on her after a life of struggle and disappointment.

With the help of some friendly music beyond the grave and an ancient cat named Zeus, Ryan and Portia both find what they need isn't what they thought they wanted. Filled with warmth, sweetness, humor, a few "D'oh" moments and a really surprising degree of smexy, this is a book I can heartily recommend and can say with great pleasure that I am glad I signed up for the ride. There is a lovely possibility brewing for Lola, Portia's slightly skewed sister. I am certainly hoping to read about it's fruition. Sway With Me is a modern, loosely based take on Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice, I can only surmise that Lola's book might be Taming of the Shrew or perhaps my all time favorite Much Ado About Nothing.

Shelly Bell won a new fan this this lovely tale and if Zeus were to make a few more appearances, that would be just fine with me. (How great would it be if he brought Ryan a dead rat as a wedding gift? - inside joke) Job well done, Ms. Bell. Brava.

A sucker for a happy ending, Shelly Bell writes sensual romance often with a bit of kink and action-filled erotic thrillers with high-emotional stakes for her alpha heroes and kiss-ass heroines.

She began writing upon the insistence of her husband who dragged her to the store and bought her a laptop. When she’s not working her day job, taking care of her family, or writing, you’ll find her reading the latest smutty romance.

She currently writes for Avon Red Impulse, Loose Id, and Soul Mate Publishing.
