Thanks Anna!!

I am unfortunately seeing a trend away from what I deem a MUST in a cover. The male anatomy. I am seeing artsy covers, abstract covers, covers with waif like females, warrior females, and all that is terribly progressive and innovative and blah, blah, blah, blahditty blah!! You want to catch my eye, you want me to shell out my hard earned, pitiful little dollars. GIVE ME MAN FLESH!!

Eyes are nice. These definitely drew my attention.

I bought everyone of these books based on cover alone. When I bought them, I had never read any of the authors’ previous works, I just liked the covers. Not a loser in the bunch and now they all are in my favorites, “must read series” or “go2author” groups. Listen to your gut ladies, and mine says “YUM!”
And now the fun part!!! The giveaways!!

I have a love hate relationship with book covers. The blah ones with food on the cover of s sexy romance just don't do it for me. But my big pet peeve right now are headless torso covers. I want to see eyes! I want to see a face! I don't want to see a torso who's head has been lopped off.

Covers don't really affect me one way or the other, unless they're horrifically bad. My favorite right now is Paul Richmond's cover for Sam Kadence's EVOLUTION.

I am a cover hussy. Its the cover that draws me to the book. I love Jaci Burton's Play By Play series covers.

I'll easily give a book a try if the cover grabs me. If the cover sucksI tend to overlook it, sad but true.

Absolutely covers have made the difference on several occasions to whether I showed an interest or passed on a book/series. I'm not as insistent that the cover be sexy necessarily, but it should definitely reflect the story within and be eye catching. Now that being said, I adore Men in Uniform romance with the men not entirely in uniform. Haha! And paranormal males who look like a dangerous sensual predator, oh yes!

I love Laura Kayes' Hearts of the Anemoi series covers and many others including the Joan Swan Fever series that you have already put up there.

Thanks for the giveaway opportunity. And fun post, btw!

I'm ashamed to say yes covers matter to me but they do. My fave cover right now is Bound to the Fallen but that will change soon.

Covers do make a big difference. They catch my attention - then I will investigate further.

Yes, I do think covers do make a difference. It's one of the things that sway a reader to pick up a book and is generally the first thing all readers see when they look for a book.

Yes I really think they do!

I love the covers from Suzanne Wright the Phoenix Pack series. “Drooling over the covers from Laurann Dohners New Species and Cyborg series and the cover from Madeline Pryce – Crimson Sins is awesome.

Covers are very important to me, as they attract my attention in the first place. I love the redesigned covers for US editions of Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark-Hunter series.

Cover's don't really influence me much.

I love the covers from the Fever series by Karen Marie Moning and the Hollows series by Kim Harrison.

I usually buy a book only if I love the cover. I love unique book covers.
Thank you for the giveaway!

I admit it! I'm a cover snob. Like you, If the cover doesn't have YUMMY men on it, I usually will bypass the book. I have many go2authors and series that wouldn't have been if they didn't have a cover that captured my attention. (HAWT MAN) Some of my favorite covers are from the Pack/Pride series by Shelly Laurenston and from the New Species and Cyborg Seduction series by Laurann Dohner.
Thanks for being part of this fun hop and for the chance to win. <^_^>

A great cover makes me have to check out the book.....if the cover's bad, even if the book is given to me, I have a hard time getting past the bad cover to read the book. My fave covers of the moment are from Kristen Painter's House of Comarre series.

Thanks for the amazing giveaway!

I think with a beautifal cover you have a better idea of what the book is about

I like covers to give me a hint to what the books about. I dislike abstract covers. I also dislike when I find out that the picture doesn't match any person or situation in the book.

I like book covers to give me a sense of time, place, and what the book is about. I don't like abstract covers because I can't get a sense of the book. I also dislike when I find out that the people or scene on the cover don't match to story i.e. hair color of the hero or heroine or a scene that isn't in the book.

I always judge a book by its cover. I can't help it! My favorite cover is These Broken Stars!

Covers do influence me to pick up or click on to find out more about the book.

I like Covers it makes it easy to find my type of books at a book store but it being good are bad will not be the big factor in my picking of a book.

They are what first catch my eye but it's the blurb that hooks me.

If it is a known to me author what the cover looks like doesn't keep me from reading a book. However, a new to me author must have a well developed cover to catch my eye.

I really don't have a favorite cover and it does not make a difference to me when making a decision to read a book.

Unknown said...

It doesn't make a difference to me.

I love covers! I wish they didn't they didn't influence me as much as they do, but I like the eye candy. ;)
I don't really have a favorite though.
Thank you for the great giveaway!

An awesome cover will definitely grab my attention but the storyline has to be good for me to pick the book up. I absolutely love Gena Showalter's White Rabbit Chronicle covers. Thanks for the giveaway!

LOL! You post is the funniest that I've read so far.

Yes. Book covers make a difference to me as a reader. I am hardest on books with sexy images. I hate squiggly fonts that I can't read easily.

I don't have a favorite cover.

Thanks for taking part in the hop! Have a great weekend!
