Fall in love, save some immortal souls, break a curse...no problem.

The Von Tassel sisters are in deep. With a new inn opening up to non-magic guests, these three witches have enough to worry about, but after a deal with the Headless Horseman, all three Von Tassel sisters must find their true loves by All Hallow's Eve or forever be trapped as ghosts in Sleepy Hollow like their ill-fated aunties.

Will Stephanie be able to forgive her playboy ex?

Will Bri be able to win back her childhood
cruch-turned-ghost hunter?

Will Lexi be able to sway her supernatural employee?

And will they all be able to fall in love by the week's end?

Two important things - One - This was a fun, sexy, fast moving read that I thoroughly enjoyed. Two - That cover.... noooo, noooo, noooo. When I first saw the cover, I thought "fun", and I will admit it did catch my eye, but it kept drawing me back, and the more I looked at it, the more it detracted from the story. Is he playing vampire, is he yelling, does he shave his nipples? It just bothered me, and I know there is little to no author input, but it bothered me enough to mention.  Now on to the book.

We have three sisters of magical heritage trying to resurrect the family home into a quaint hotel for both magical and dud (their word for normal humans) persuasion.  They are joined by their deceased aunties in a curse bestowed by the infamous Headless Hessian, or Horseman if you prefer. (IMHO, Hessians are much sexier and intimidating) Each one has to find and declare true love by midnight on All Hallows eve or be doomed to roam the Earth as a spirit and be forever denied passage to the Summerlands. I loved the premise and you couldn't beat the all-star trio of authors with a stick.

In SiSH, the reader gets the REAL scoop on Mr. Irving's gussied up tale of horror, romance and betrayal. My goodness, those colonial villagers were a vicious, hateful group. But we already knew that. Still the circumstances that led to the aunties early demise were just brutal, and honestly if I were one of these lingering poltergeists, I would be one mean, mofoing ghost. Mean and vengeful can be cute and cuddly too, under the right set of circumstances. These six females, however are all about the light side of love, magic and the hereafter.

Each author deals with two witches, one living and the other not so much. It seems each of these ladies is already acquainted with their "meant to be" mates, but for various reasons things just didn't work out. I'll not go into those reasons, let's just say that each novella is a cautionary tale of not trusting your heart. The many, MANY obstacles the couples have to overcome run the gamut, and were in fact quite hilarious for the most part. Even the cursed Horseman was not as nasty as legend suggested and I did find him to be quite sympathetic. He had a job to do, if he didn't do it, somebody maybe not so understanding would have. In spite of all the lighthearted fun, the ending was quite tearful. Not in a sad, OMG, they all burn in Hell way, but in a touching "awwww, sniffle" kind of way. This is a guaranteed "feel good, smile on your face" book, so why wait. Go grab a coke and a smile (or a glass of wine and a smirk, your choice.). Well done, ladies, well done.

Award-winning author, Rosalie Lario, double majored in Anthropology and Classics at Florida State University. She briefly considered becoming an archaeologist before realizing that: (a) they do not actually live the life of Indiana Jones, and (b) she hates getting her hands dirty. She never imagined all the mythology she learned might someday come in handy, but it makes perfect fodder for the stories she now dreams up. Best of all, no dirt involved! When not writing, she enjoys spending time with her family in their home state of Florida.

A former academic (and still unashamed lover of all things geek) Patricia Eimer now lives her dream of hanging out all day in her jammies, arguing plot points with her two dogs and claiming all her time spent on Twitter and LaineyGossip really is research for an upcoming book and not just wasting time. Patricia writes sassy, sexy romance for smart women and is desperately trying to figure out a romance novel that involves a gourmet ice cream maker and a prize winning cupcake baker who both love good wine and gourmet tea. She’s sure that with just enough culinary research (which may take years) she can find just the right recipe to make that story worse. Or at least that’s what she tells herself every time she’s unloading a cart full of goodies at the grocery store.
