Ruthless Game by Christine Feehan

Ruthless Game (GhostWalkers, #9)This book is about two secondary characters from a previous Ghostwalker book, Kane and Rose. Christine's Ghostwalker books follow a certain formula that makes for consistently good reads. Very few surprises, which can be a good thing or can be a tad tedious. This book will not keep you on the edge of your seat or cause you to break out the Kleenex. It is however, very comfortable. Both Kane and Rose have trust issues, however neither has problems communicating or expressing there feelings to one another. This is a welcome relief, when some authors feel it is necessary to wait until the last paragraph before the hero and heroine ever get around to acknowledging that they care for one another. I think that Ms. Feehan's strongest selling points are her indomitable heroines. They are often more capable than their heroes and can under no stretch of the imagination be called wimpy or needy. Her heroes are resolute and very sexy. They are a man's man, but unafraid of loving a woman. Very sexy. She has furthered her plot line quite brilliantly with this book and I most definitely will continue to follow this series.
