What I love about this cover is it’s time consuming. Sure the jewel tones catch your eye with pop and zing, but your eyes can’t process everything that’s going on that quickly. These characters are way beyond the norm. They are complex and need to be studied, and they will not be fully revealed in this book. The artist is also the author which makes her doubly talented because the inside is just as intriguing as the outside.
I want to point out some things you might miss on first glance with this cover. The red on her back suggest wings, a hint maybe. The males hand in the hair, the nails are long and sharpened. His ears are slightly pointed, artist interpretation. Who knows? They obviously both like leather. He is obviously a fan of tattoos. Do they tell a story? Possibly.
Another hint, notice the positioning of the characters. It tells a story, and no, not just a sexual one. Shame on you. This is a book that’s better in paperback because the cover is part of the story and you need to be able to reference it as you read. I was so glad the characters lived up to their boldness.
