Nope, Reviews, Yup, you heard me right. Reviews terrify me.

As a writer, each time someone reads my book, it’s like they are seeing into my soul. Like they are seeing these little pieces of me that I opened up for their perusal. And if they dislike said pieces, then what? Obviously, it’s bound to happen. Even some of the world’s best authors have people who despise their work. To plan on pleasing every single person who reads your book is unrealistic at best.

Even knowing all this, I’m terrified that someone will read Kill Me Tomorrow, and hate it. That they won’t like my baby. As a write, I’m prepared for it. I’m even expecting it here and there. But unlike other businesses, if someone doesn’t like it, and post their feelings on it, I will see it. There’s no way around it.

How do we deal with it? As writers, we need to shrug our shoulders and move on. Keep writing, and take any advice given in the review to improve our works. And, in almost any bad review, there is a sliver of good. Focus on that, and hold your head high.

Most importantly, keep writing.

Jasmine Baruch is a jinn – a supernatural being who fights demons with fire. While that’s difficult enough, she’s got bigger problems. She’s a virgin, and in the jinn culture, that is sheer blasphemy.  Jinn are supposed to be passionate, promiscuous creatures – everything she isn’t. Due to marry the next day, she takes matters into her own hands by using 1NS. But, like the rest of her life, nothing is easy.  The man chosen for her, though incredibly gorgeous, is a demi-sanguine; a half-human, half-demon -  her enemy.

Gavin Werbato is looking for an easy night of sex. Nothing more, nothing less. Instead, he get’s a gorgeous jinn convinced it is her duty to kill him. He certainly can think of better things to do with her soft hands than murder. He need only convince her of that.

Can the fire sparked when these beings collide be controlled or will it consume their world as they know it?

Well said. With so many different interests, we are bound to have someone that doesn't like what we have to say, but we need to learn how to live with that.

You can't please everyone, but you can please someone.

The book synopsis sounds great. Look forward to reading it.
